Surrendering his life over to Jesus in 1995, Mackey began his service to the Lord at Hope Chapel Honolulu from 1999 through 2004, starting the young adult ministry (with 4 people). In 2004, he left Hope Chapel Honolulu in response to the Lord, and was led to assist in the planting of One Love Ministries (at Kaimuki).
