As we have looked at the Lords indictments against the false worship, everything prior; profanity, sacrilege, and greed were about the actions of the priests. In this study God now focuses on their attitude. Their attitude was one of disrespect and they did not care to take the trouble to set things straight. God showed them, this too, was sinning against Him. |

He charges Timothy to be sober minded, to endure hardships, to evangelize, and to carry out his ministry. 3 of those 4 charges we can often get onboard with, but it's the "enduring hardships" we struggle with. Remember to put on the full armor of God and seal it with prayer. |

God is working many miracles through Paul - so much so that even handkerchiefs that had touched his skin were being used to heal people. A group of men try to replicate God's work through Paul by casting out evil spirits in Jesus' name. One evil spirit leaps on them and overpowers them, causing them to flee naked and beaten. Our attempts at copying will always leave us naked, wounded, and battered. |

Paul and Silas, fresh out of prison, head to Thessalonica. There they preached in a synagogue and convinced many to follow Christ, but not everyone was onboard. Some of the Jews were jealous and formed a mob, getting Paul and Silas thrown out of town. |

In a vision, Paul sees a man in Macedonia requesting help. They travel to Macedonia where they meet Lydia who accepts Christ and opens her home to the travelers. Have we surrendered fully to the will of God? Or are we caught up in our own thoughts of how situations should play out? |
